This blog entry will be for both Tuesday's lesson (yesterday) and today's lesson, as I forgot to put up a post recently.
Well, this is actually just for Tuesday because today's lesson did not exist. That's right! It ceased to be entirely! But only temporarily - we had a lecture about health and safety at our work experience placements instead.
But I digress. I must do my duty and inform you people, that have nothing better to do than to read this blog, about what happened on Tuesday. So here goes.
Ahem.
Not much, actually.
I just finished off Egbert and started to...
Oh, wait! I did do something interesting! I'm sorry, I completely forgot. I began work on my backdrop!
In hindsight, that isn't very exciting either.
My sincerest apologies for this shambling wreck of a post.
'Bye.

The continuation of the work on Egbert
Right.
Today, I went back to good ol' Macromedia Fireworks and continued the design for Egbert. I have begun to notice that I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to these designs. I spent quarter of an hour trying to remember how I acheived the rust effect as I was ill during the last IT lesson. Not actually in the lesson, as that would have been disgusting, but I stayed at home for three days, during which I missed Wednesday's IT lesson. I then spent the rest of the lesson applying precise shading to my drawing of the wires between the joints of Egbert's right arm. Not a waste of valuable time at all.
Oh, yes, and I posted this.
Until next time.

A brief break from all the arty business
No drawing today. No sir. Today, we began our work on something else. For many, this moment in the curricular timeline was a black moment, as it signified the beginning of a process so unnecessarily complicated, many have lost their minds in the vain attempt to complete it during the controversial '5-a-day' era.
Today, once again, we took the first sheepish steps down a seemingly endless path.
Today was the day we began our e-portfolio.
May God have mercy on our souls.
Anyhow, I'll keep you posted.
Keep on blog-goggling, my friends.

A first look at Egbert...
Here he be.
I like the rusty look. It looks really realistic, and I am rather proud of it. Thanks must go to Mister Louis Frith for added assistance and idea contributions. Cheers, lad.
Anyhow.
If you think I'm breaking tension by adding a picture, in direct violation to my previous post, you can buzz off because it's my blog and I can do as I wish.
As you were.

Egbert is given a face.
Today, I gave Egbert a face. It looks quite cool - i made his mouth look like it was generated on a computer screen below his eyes (which makes sense, as most mouths are situated below the corresponding eyes of the subject), and his eyes glow yellow inside a black visor/hole thing. Like Bender.
I will not post a photo yet as the tension would be shattered far too soon.
Cheerio.
